The streets of Nice are full of good restaurants. You can find a dish for every taste: far eastern, Italian, Middle-eastern and loads of french of course.

Each region in France has its own style and approach when it comes to constructing food. Nice is one of the most interesting ones thanks to its cultural diversity and location.

Feels like home

Today in review is La Maison de Marie – a choice that never disappoints.
It is located on the main “Massena” street, in a small alley that is hidden from the eye.
Despite that, the restaurant is busy every night. The place is renovated, service is welcoming and the food is wonderful.

The variety is wide, offering Italian dishes like various pastas, cheeses, alongside traditional french dishes.
We tried almost all the dishes here, and we managed to decide on some favorites.
The “Daube”: a beef stew in wine, vegetables, garlic, and herbes de Provence. It is a terrific meal that in this case is served with mini-raviolis/gnocchis that gives it an extra added value.

Second, is the Beef Filet that comes simply with butter. You don’t really need much more when the quality of the meat and its preparation are so good.

Finally, the desserts.
The sweets are dividing to two: Patisserie and ice cream.
We would recommend on the Patisserie since they are more special, noticeably the Eclair that changes every season.

This place have a warm place in our hearts thanks to the pleasant atmosphere, good pricing and delicious food.
