However, we managed to find more than one coffee shop worth visiting, focusing on the city of Nice.
The french riviera is close to Italy and gets a lot of influence from the people who hold strong the coffee culture in Europe.
Moreover, the “06” region is very cosmopolitan, therefore is influenced by a large mix cultures.

Of course, there are different opinions about what makes the perfect coffee experience, but we are here to talk about our personal favorites.
Here are the best:

Cafe Fino

Close to the renowned Promenade du Paillion sits one of the best coffee houses in town and the whole region if you ask us. The dedication is very present here with home-made-everything attitude. As a result, the menu offers a unique and surprising drinks and foods – all wrapped in the lovely atmosphere of the place.

SAJ Restaurant

Organic, vegetarian/vegan cuisine lovers, this one is for you.
SAJ Restaurant is brings Middle-Eastern culture to the plates of the visitors of Nice.

Edmond Cafe

At the peak of the epidemic, two brave guys decided to open this cafe and offer a healthy dose of escapism. By decorating the place like a fairytale scene and serving sweets that are as good as they look we were convinced by the quality and effort found in every creation they made.

Cafes Indien

In the heart of the old city, we found this roasting coffeehouse place that is all about coffee breeds from all around the world.
It is more dedicated to coffee types than food, but it is still a great place to open your day in.
Bonus: you can purchase packages of capsules and beans as well as mugs and other equipment.

One Love Cafe

When it was opened in 2016, this place brought chic and freshness to a calm and posh Carre d’Or area of Nice – the bourgeois neighborhood by the sea.
It offers a cool atmosphere and healthy menu with different salads and fresh juices. Oh, and of course, great coffee too.

The Service Course

A new coffee maker rises in the old town of Nice. With a choice between Brazilian and Kenyan brew, this shop is oriented towards bicycle riders and enthusiasts and offers sweets and sandwiches along side the great tasting coffee. Bonus: they have successfully prepared us a good cappuccino with foamy soya milk!

Malongo

Right on Jean Medecin street, one of the main streets of Nice, Malongo takes the coffee experience seriously.
With large choice of beans, coffee types and pastries, it is one of the prominent coffee establishments in town.

Cafe Frei

2 steps from the beach and the famous Negresco hotel, you will find this special coffeehouse than brings coffee types by countries.
The manu is on a wall that holds a pattern of the different continents, so you know where your coffee is coming from.
Other than that, small dishes, pastries and cocktails are available on the spot.

Illia Pasta

Unlike it name suggests, Illia Pasta is not all about the Italian dish – it is also an awesome place to drink coffee in.
Like the food served here, coffee is great and remains loyal to the Italian tradition.
The location in the Old City adds to the niche-atmosphere.

Déli bo.

Having a cup of coffee with some desserts on the side is always a good idea. Déli bo. is a patisserie & coffeehouse that has several shops across the french riviera. It makes one of the best desserts in town, and luckily, coffee that suits the standard.
It is located not far from the port in the lively Garibaldi area, giving a bit of change from the busy center of Nice.

Clay

Close to Place Garibaldi, Clay offers a cocoon-experience of french cuisine and coffee.
The dishes here are extraordinary (our favorite is the chicken-truffle sandwich) as well as the coffee and the atmosphere.

The concept of Olim is to bring old french recipes back to the spotlight.
The place itself is tiny but very welcoming, and offers ultra tasty and variation of dishes, deserts, tea and coffee.

This resto-bar is an iconic spot of Nice.
A Franco-Mediterranean menu, good coffee and attractive location near the port explain perfectly why it is full most of the time.

Hiding in the small corridors of the old town, you will find this homey coffee shop. It specializes in home-made pastries, french cuisine (breakfast & lunch) and some particular types of coffee.
